Visions in the Flames 2023 - House Stark

In this article, we will address the changes made to the Starks for this update, listing what units have Ability changes, what units have changed in points, as well as changes that are unique to the Starks.

Faction Changes Overview: Most Stark units and Attachments have been performing as we’ve expected. The Faction’s major changes were a consequence of the changes to General Abilities more than to specific units.
We’ve listed all the changes below by category to help you out.
General Ability Changes:
- Brynden Tully, The Blackfish: Change to War Cry Tactics card.
- Brynden Tully, Vanguard Infiltrator: Change to Outflank.
- House Mormont She-Bears: Change to War Cry.
- Mormont Veteran: Change to Hardened.
Points Costs Changes:
- House Mormont Bruisers dropped from 7 to 6 points.
The House Mormont Bruisers were not competing with other elite units from the Stark roster. Rather than reworking the unit, we’ve dropped them by 1 point, since their abilities and stats are more on-par with other 6 points Stark units.
Specific Ability Changes:
- House Karstark Spearmen: Removed Bulwark Formation. Added Order: Hold the Line!
Bulwark Formation was either too effective or not used at all! By swapping this ability with the Order: Hold the Line!, we’ve reinforced the Karstark theme of aggressive attrition.
- Stark Bowmen: Morale improved from 7+ to 6+.
This change will keep them in par with other ranged units in their points range.
